Some of the controls and icons are self explanatory, but the microphone and volume buttons are confusing and troublesome. Youre not sure when the mic is actually on, or when your mic is feeding sound to the camera. You need a simple mute option, listen only option, and a two way talk option. That way when consumers using this as a baby monitor access the app they dont mistakenly wake their newborn by accident

A bad app just got worse. No longer can access the SD card after update. Notifications are broken and the camera times out before you can connect in live view. The camera is now completely useless. No more Dlink products.

As like the previous reviewers, I am also having problems after D-Links latest update; my pre-sets are absent. Actually, there are problems after almost every update. One example; though I like that the Motion and Sound Detection settings (Event Trigger Settings buttons) are now handy on the Ap, the problem is that, the Motion and Sound Detection buttons are very slow to populate, or do not populate at all, when I return back home, when my iPhone connects back to my very strong wifi. Also, the words used ("Enable" and "Disable") are not clear; what is clear is "On" or "Off". I could go on and on, with how many times Ive had to call D-Link in frustration. Instead, Ill simply express this: D-Link, please consider that we use your products to monitor our homes, in order to gain some form of security for our loved ones, and peace of mind for property protection. So, when you continue to perform failed updates, please consider that your competitors are improving. I gave a rating of 3 of 5 Stars because I believe that D-Link is seeking to improve their product.

Like others, also lost view presets and cannot get sound to remain off as default

All my presets are gone with this update. Also hate it when they want me to update firmware. Tells you to plug it in to router. Pretty hard to do when Im 3000 miles away and only at that winter home 3 months of the year.

What is with these big companies they think because of their name they can still create garbage. Software for the camera is free, better it was, but come on guys spend the money to develop a decent app and I may buy another camera.

When I installed the app it worked great, after about a week all of my presets were gone. They remained on my PC but not the app. Dlink agreed there is a problem, but now over two weeks no fix. Very bad customer support. Buy a Foscam camera.

Could not set up my new dLink camera - the Mac setup wizard worked flawlessly. App functionality is barebones. Motion detection is a joke.

The latest update on my iPhone 6S over the past week has wiped out all of my presets on all my cameras. Please fix!

Connections to the webcam are slow and more often than not fail with a timeout. Weird since the service should support multiple devices. The poor user experience will lead to purchase another brand of webcam next time.

For a $30 camera its great! Night light is awesome.

Initially I was having trouble making this app work with my camera. Everything on the pamphlet and box said DCS-5222L but what I needed was DCS-5222LB1 type B. Once I figured that out it worked great. The interface is very easy to use. On a side note dont use the app to update camera firmware use a computer.
